Age 30 and above

The guide lists the programme as open to applicants aged 30 years old and above. Former conditional pathways for people aged 30–49 are not presented as current requirements.

Financial proof and fixed deposit

The fixed deposit is RM500,000 for the main applicant; the guide does not state a separate couple tier. RM250,000 is maintained after approval. Pension or offshore income is RM10,000 monthly for an individual or RM15,000 monthly with dependant(s). The savings-funds route is an RM100,000 or RM200,000 monthly closing balance, supported by the latest three months’ bank statements and subject to panel approval.

Fee, stay and withdrawal

The guide states a one-time, non-refundable RM5,000 MTCP processing fee. The main participant must stay in Sarawak at least 30 days each year. After one year, up to 50% may be withdrawn for a Sarawak house, car, medical expenses or children’s education.

Dependants and security bond

The checklist covers a spouse or parents, children or stepchildren aged 21 and below, and disabled children with no age limit. RM2,000: Canada, United States, Colombia and the other groups printed in the official table; RM1,500: Saudi Arabia, Australia, Brunei, China, Taiwan, Vietnam and the other groups printed in the table; RM1,000: Japan, South Korea, Macau and Hong Kong; RM750: Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, Philippines, India, Pakistan and Sri Lanka; RM500: Indonesia; RM300: Thailand; RM200: Singapore. Any country not listed is RM1,500.
